Moonlight Masquerade has been the flagship fundraising event for Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence since 2009. I've been honored to provide graphic design for the event since 2011. From 2009 to 2016, the event had a changing theme each year; after a hiatus in 2017 and 2018, the event was rebranded and launched as "a night of gothic elegance" with a Halloween theme.

The event was held virtually due to COVID; patrons purchased boxes that included a three-course meal, cocktail setup and recipe, music performance link, and decor.

Moonlight Masquerade 2015 - "The Haunted Mansion"
Using existing photos of local landmark The Redding House, I painstakingly recreated it as a vector graphic. Columns were given a skew, cracks were added, and along with pumpkins, lanterns, creepy trees, and a full moon (showing the event logo), it was turned into "The Haunted Mansion." This became the centerpiece for the 2015 ad campaign.

Web design was a hobby that became a passion, then a business. In 2005, when a music site I'd built for fun began getting millions of hits per year, I expanded to building sites for other friends and artists in the entertainment industry...and it has all grown from there. As a freelancer, I am able to build a relationship with my clients, providing a more personal experience than they would receive from a larger, more corporate design firm. Getting to know a client's tastes, business style, and hopes for their site helps me create products that more clearly reflect who they are to the online world. And it works – nearly 100% of my clients have come to me as referrals from other satisfied customers.
